On February 22th, Assistant to President Zhang Jianhong donated 439,200 Yuan to Tongxiang Charity Federation on behalf of all Huayou staff directionally for the epidemic prevention and control and patient treatment of Tianyou Hospital Affiliated to Wuhan University of Science & Technology. Carrying the love and wishes of all Huayou people, the donation has been arrived at the front line of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan now.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic, Huayou has persevered in two measures involving setting up an organization and strengthening protection, and purchased essential epidemic prevention materials at home and abroad, making its contribution to social benefits. Huayou has donated 5,000 N95 masks, 500 safety goggles and 120 high grade protective clothing to the First People’s Hospital of Tongxiang, 5,000 N95 masks, 500 safety goggles and 80 3M protective clothing to People’s Hospital of Quzhou, 1,200 KN95 masks to the traffic police at the epidemic prevention check point, and Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Material Co., Ltd. donated over 60 tons of javelle water to the public and will keep on donation.
Meanwhile, all Huayou staff from Huayou Resources in African Region, far away from China but caring a lot about their country, donated 30,600 US dollars to purchase medical protective clothing in South Africa and delivered the protective clothing to the hospitals at the front line of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan. Furthermore, the company initiated a special fund of 3 million Yuan to provide the front line of epidemic prevention and control with funding and material support. Currently, the donation of funding and materials add up to 800,000 Yuan at least.
“The epidemic situation remains grim and complex and it is now a most crucial moment to curb the spread”. Huayou will clutch to epidemic prevention and control as well as production and operation and firmly implement the social responsibility, making contribution to hold up the hope in a relay of support.
