On February 18, Huayou Launch Conference of Strategic Projects took place at its headquarters in Tongxiang. Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou attended the conference and delivered an important speech. Chen Hongliang, President of Huayou hosted the conference.
At the conference, Chen Xuehua interpreted the background and connotation of the strategic concepts of “Two New Areas” and “Three Trends”, stick firm to “Controlling Resources Upstream, Expanding the Downstream Markets, Improving the Capacity in the Middle”, and “Fight Ten Years Two Firsts”. He stressed that strategic projects are the top-level design schemes of Huayou in its efforts to effectively advance strategy implementation which concerns the orderly and coordinated development of Huayou. Every officer of Huayou should take an active part in project development. Project teams should renovate methods and work hard, advance projects with good mental outlook and strive to achieve success.
“The strategy is a mean of integrating resources, a tool of coping with uncertainties and a path of improving cadres’ ability,” said Chen Xuehua. Through strategic projects, we will further decode the strategic measures, implementation paths, key activities and targets of business sectors and functional sectors, to conduct business operations in an orderly, coordinated and efficient way with focus on our overall strategy.
Huayou aims to build a perfect strategic management system focusing on the group strategy, based on the competition strategy, supported by strategies of business units and guaranteed by strategies of functional sectors, said Chen Xuehua. To make projects progress smoothly and promote production operation at the next stage, he raised requirements and expectations to project team members, expecting that they would comprehend Huayou’s strategic concepts, modestly study and practice the methodology of strategic implementation, and advance project implementation vigorously.
Chen Hongliang delivered a mobilizing speech. In 2018, Huayou worked out the medium & long-term industrial plan of “Fight Ten Years Two Firsts”, and drove the high-quality and comprehensive development of the company with strategies as the fulcrum and opening as the leverage. 2019 symbolizes the fourth year that Huayou has implemented the “thirteenth five-year” plan and started up a second time, as well as a year of challenges and opportunities for Huayou.
